Your race
Wave & target
Your wave sets your gun — it drives the Race morning timeline below as well as every clock, checkpoint and margin on this page. The sliders in Your pace plan reshape it further.
A wave start, and this board is not written from the elite corral: expect up to five minutes between the gun and your own crossing of the start mat. Every cut-off here is a gun-time clock and pays for it.
More fine target
Targets run 1:30:00 to 3:39:25 — the 08:15 cut-off from your gun.

Journey timeline
Estimate the whole journey, door to corral, and your target sleep — the timeline below follows both.

- 19:50Asleep by — 6 h before the alarm, the target, not a promise

Taking the MRT? Get ready before you head to the station. On race morning the very first train only starts running after 03:00 — so plan backwards from that first train, not from your gun: the alarm, the trip to the station and the platform wait all hang off it. The full early-service timetable (⚠️ 2025, carried as printed) is on the Get there tab.
Arriving too close to the gun raises the risk of: stress, a heart rate already high before the start, no time to warm up, a rush to the , forgetting to drink or use the toilet. Arriving too early (say more than 2 hours) isn't ideal either — you can end up standing too long and getting cold or tired.
Your pace plan
Segments
Your plan, segment by segment:
Start like the heat is already ahead of you — it is. The first gun is 04:30; the sun comes up around km 8 at an honest . A conservative first 5 km is not caution, it is the plan.
Splits & chart
Default paces follow a course-shaped plan on a /km base — near-even, with a breath less on the rises — rescaled to your target, so the shape still lands on your time. Elapsed = official km × your .

Your steps (blue slow → red fast) over the measured elevation, redrawn as the sliders move. Δele is the net change per segment. The canvas is flat — 9–28 m — so the shape's work is done by the heat, not the terrain. Elapsed and clock are cumulative at the segment end (your ). Segment boundaries are the four segment ends — km 5, COP1, COP2 and the finish — with the streets between them in the second column; each block's is the Every Kilometer strategy line re-averaged across that block — time-preserving, so the strategy's clock still lands at every boundary. Landmark positions are approximate (±0.2 km) — read off the course GPX, not surveyed; on course, trust the official km markers.

Adjust your plan
All four sliders share one scale — 6:00 to 8:10 — so the thumbs read as the shape of your effort. Further right is slower.
2.5 % faster before sunrise around km 8, then gradually slower as it warms.
Race with a plan you have rehearsed: load your own watch plan — a PacePro strategy or simple pace alerts — and use it before race day, not for the first time at the start line.
The route
Drawn from the organiser's route GPX (north up), the line colored by your — the same wash as the chart above; numbered dots are segment ends — the landmarks in the table above. ■ start/finish — GBK's east side · ◎ 06:30 · ● — the crew's planning positions, ±0.8 km each · 🕌 the km-2 mushola (the FM's too) · yellow dots = km markers. Read it race week and in the — during the race your watch and the kilometre markers navigate. The chart under the map is the same plan, live-linked — scrub either one and the dots mark the same kilometre; and clock follow your sliders.
The course, measured
The cut-offs will not save you, and now they can catch you. The 2026 clocks sit a breath inside the finish's own : at a 3:30 goal COP2 still holds 10+ minutes, and only the window's ceiling goal meets it with nothing in hand. Heat is still the constraint — start conservatively, run even or slightly negative, and let the drift after sunrise ().
Two passes over the same ground. Semanggi comes twice — COP1 at km 10.5 and COP2 at km 15.5 — and both count from the first gun, not yours.
Air quality is the organiser's other warning this year (safety advisory, 16 Oct). Check a reliable air-quality source in race week and ease off outdoor training when it is poor; with asthma or another breathing condition, see a doctor before you race.
When it gets hard
| km | What happens | The answer, decided now |
|---|---|---|
| 0–4 | Dark, flat, the GBK loop. Subuh fell at 04:09 — the praying at the venue was the morning's first discipline | Settle, do not sprint. The start hands everyone a fresh and a too-fast first kilometre |
| 4–10.5 | North to the Bundaran HI ring (km ≈7.4–7.75), back south to COP1 at Semanggi | This is the easy half — bank nothing, spend nothing. COP2 still holds 10+ minutes at a 3:30 goal; the heat keeps its own ledger |
| 10.5–15.5 | Gatot Subroto south-east, U-turn at ≈km 13.5, back to COP2 — Semanggi's second pass | Sunrise was at ; from here the temperature, not the course, sets your . Drinking on the clock starts now |
| 15.5–19.5 | Sudirman south-west, then the Sisingamangaraja out-and-back — the course's high point (≈28 m) and its only real rise | Short steps up, let the turn around carry you back down. This is where the race finally asks something |
| 19.5–21.1 | Sudirman back to GBK. Nothing left to manage | Whatever is left, spend it |
Nothing new.
Just the next kilometre.
If the plan breaks
| A late and a slow goal | The capped front-load is this case's tool: at most 5 s/km under the goal from the gun, banking ≤1:15 before COP2 — the binding one. Beyond that, bank nothing |
| Hot morning | Ease from the Bundaran HI ring (km ≈7.5), not from the walk. The heat's bill compounds — easing early is the cheap version |
| Behind at a clock | Even 10:19/km from here still answers — read the cut-off card before deciding anything. Steady beats panicking |
| Something hurts sharply | Stop. A costs one race. Sharp pain is a doctor question — not medical advice, a medical tent |
| Dizzy, sick, confused or unsteady — you or a runner near you | Stop, and get the nearest medic. The organiser's heat-stroke warning signs: severe dizziness or headache, nausea or vomiting, feeling extremely hot or weak, confusion, staggering or fainting. Still sweating is not an all-clear — don't wait for dry skin |
